Magic Melon: Usborne First Reading Level 2

Lee is too lazy to grow any food, so he gets very hungry. Then he plants a magic melon – but things don’t go as planned… This lively retelling of an old Chinese tale has easy-to-read text and fun puzzles to try after the story.

The Magic Melon is in the Usborne First Reading series, written especially for children who are learning to read, and developed in consultation with Alison Kelly, Principal Lecturer in Education and reading specialist at Roehampton University. With delightful illustrations, these books combine great stories with simple text to excite and inspire any beginner reader.
